Living your life in a way that's normal for you.
Something has happened, a health concern, a life shock, a notion one day I'd better do something to get healthy. Where does a complete novice begin? This guide is for a self healing newbie, figuring out the roadblocks and attaining the mindset required for change.
In altering any area of her life, there will be a natural resistance as our habits are so deeply ingrained and emotionally fueled, it is a requirement that the person wants to change and is willing to push past the walls of resistance,
Step one
Decide the outcome!
What is the desired outcome when you decide that you want to be healthier?
What does health look like to you? Is it a specific weight? Is it a health diagnosis? Are you wanting to clean up your whole life, because holistic healing will cause you to clean up your whole life, and as a result, your body will shine with health.
Step two
Stop eating bread.
White bread is the number one cause for diabetes, constipation, stomach ulcers, bowel issues. It takes more energy to break it down than you get from it. So it's an energetic minus.
Bread is super habitual. The toaster being the kitchen's number one fruit food prep device. People are far more emotionally binded to bread than they realize it's the go to when feeling sad, feeling low, lethargic, weak, the true staple of the kitchen, the biggest culprit in the Irish diet, because we have habitually make toast instead of cooking. We do it on autopilot, mindlessly, lazily by removing bread, you have to think about food, the fuel you need to get around.
Be about the filling, eat the filling without the bread. So you're to keep your mind on what should be inside of the sandwich and not have the bread at all. So a typical roadblock here with a person is, what will I eat instead? Because it is such a major part of their diet, and it does actually involve thinking about foods and seeing other options, going to other parts of the supermarket, different food counters. Yes, it does involve change of habits, because your habit is to not think at all. And by taking bread out, you got to think about your food and keeping in mind food is your fuel. It is the fuel. If you consider your body like a car, you're going to put the best fuel into it possible.
My tip is eating from a salad bar is a wonderful way of getting a variety of colorful ingredients which nourish your cells and give you energy. Your tummy and your body feels very refreshed afterwards.
Step three
Juice.
Vegetable juices the cleanest fuel you can consume once you use organic The likelihood is a newbie to natural will have a lifetime of processed foods, predominantly carbohydrates and meat. Dominant vegetable is a side thought, and half the thought are not a thought at all. Vegetables are where the vitamins are, and we want to replenish our bodies, we need vitamins, and they're also required daily to get enough in for our metabolic and methylation pathways.
Juicing, about 80% vegetables to 20% fruit ratio is like pure nectar for your body. It's already broken down that it doesn't need digestive enzymes. In the case of leaky gut, it's able to repair and that can be uptake and in the bloodstream, it's all good. So juicing every day for maximum health.
One of my favorite juice recipes is:
3 cucumbers
2 courgettes
2 raw beetroots
6 carrots
3 apples
2 lemons
1" ginger
This is my all rounder. It's a wonderful liver cleanse.
It's great for cleaning the blood balancing the digestive system and overall health.
And you can also add a teaspoon of hemp protein and a teaspoon of spirulina for extra protein and for extra cleansing effects.
A possible roadblock is that you just don't have a juicer. It's probably as cost effective to go to a juice bar and pay six euros for a juice, because they already have worked out the best quantities for the ingredients, so they actually taste nice. And I use a sage juicer, They are centrifugal device, which means they spin. I like them because they're easy to clean.
And green star do the masticating juicer, which is taught to be a better juicer because of how it cuts up the vegetables and it keeps the fibers, which is good for the bowl, and it's just harder to clean. And it's a strange looking device, but that's one of the better ones.
Any regular electric store, you'll get nutribullets and all sorts of smaller kind of juicers that range at different prices. No juicer, no problem - there's a juice bar in a town near you!
Step Four
Take magnesium.
Magnesium is the baseline requirement for absorbing minerals and vitamins in our body and for our energy production cycle. For us to be healthy, we need to move, if you take some magnesium straight off, it will give you energy to help yourself, and give you motivation to move and take up some kind of exercise.
The ideal is to sweat for at least 10 minutes a day to remove micro plastic toxins out through your sweat glands, to get your heart beating harder and faster, to pump out any stagnity in the blood, and to feel alive. The lack of motivation is usually due to a lack of magnesium, and it's most used mineral in the body, and it's most likely to be low in people. It sparks the ATP energy pistons, and it is the foundation for mineral absorption, and also for absorption from our foods, requiring of magnesium.
Epsom salts is magnesium, and it absorbs very well through the skin. Epsom salt baths are excellent, though it does work a lot quicker if you ingest it and get it into the body, maybe daily for at least a month.
Top tip on order of mineral depletion
Typically depleted in the body in this order:
Magnesium
Zinc
Iodine
Calcium
Copper
When replenishing minerals, this is an example of the order one might consider.
Irish water is generally very high in iron, and anemia is also common Ireland, anemia being a deficiency in iron. The most common cause for this is worms in the large intestines blocking iron absorption. A months does of Black Walnut, Wormwood & Clove clear parsites from the body. Ideally follow up with a course of B12 afterwards.
Step Five
Have a word with yourself!
What are you actually doing with your life?
We're all going along with the streams of life, and it can be working fine. However, there is a bigger picture, and being lost in a lost crowd probably isn't it. Genuinely ask yourself,
Why am I here?
What am I on earth to do?
Paying bills, dealing with other people's problems, being stressed and feeling unfulfilled may not be your highest calling, it's easy to find all the things we don't want.
What do you actually want in your life is happiness, enjoyment, fulfilling, purpose and ideal?
Do you want more laughter, friends on your wavelength, holidays, travel, dining in new restaurants, a new or an old hobby, and decide what you want more of and make one small step every day in the direction you want to go.
Ask yourself, will this choice bring me closer to where I want to be?
We're faced with choices all day, every day and every child, stop now and ask yourself, will this bring me closer to where I want to be?
We are energetic beings, when we make life affirming decisions, we create an energy in our own lives that builds momentum. Your thoughts become decisions would become actions.
Decide what you want!
Every decision, the compass is pointed in that direction. Step by step, you're building the life of your dreams.
Top tip
A storyboard of images and ideas helps to direct focus. Cut out photos of the life you want, place of where you see it daily and send good intentions to your dreams.
Use affirmations for further effect. Support yourself.

Yoga and Tai Chi speak of balance, balanced diet, balanced work, life, balance, health, stress, etc. But what does that mean? The moderation used to be the key to life. However, the food supply is chemical heavy, so there's no need for anyone to moderate organic vegetables.
Meat is essential for "O" blood groups. However, if you've been eating processed meat every day, several times a day, for years, you're good for months. You got a stock pile in your gut. Going off meat for a week or two is a wonderful detox for the gut of a hardy meat eater. High meat consumption blocks the homocysteine pathways in the liver, which makes blood a bit heavier and can get sticky too. The meat is required for collagen, skin, teeth, bones, fat, health.
Vegetarianism seems to work best around the equator and different blood groups. Generally, people want to eat lighter in the sun. I think it's best to lose the titles and Eat For Health. Bring as much veg into your diet as you can, and eat smaller portions of better quality meat, organic every time.
There are times that a long term vegetarian struggle with absorbing enough B12, folates and iron which are on the oxygen pathway, so they can become pale, gawnt, thin and weak looking, basically malnourished. It's not enough to just not eat meat. It has to be carefully substituted and thought out. Yes, it costs more. There are more ingredients. It takes more knowledge of cooking and prep. Ideally, the person ought to love cooking and appreciate the fat and proteins required for health.
Fats always get lost in conversation. Fats are a silent secret for health. Omega three protects us from infections, threatens our immune systems. Animal fats, olive oil, flax castor oil, fish oils are the WD 40 for humans.
